What did you study at university? Behavioral and environmental economics.

How did you start your job? I got a call from Fernando, he needed a new bass player, we met up in a pub and had a bit of a chat and I got the gig.

If you could live in one historical era, which one would you choose? Born in the 60’s.

If you could spend a day with an historical figure who would you choose?  Lou Reed.

If you could compose the best band in history who would be in? Lou Reed, Sterling Morrison, John Cale and Maureen Tucker.

If you could compose the best band today, who would be in? Trent Reznor, William Reid, Nick Cave and Simone Marie from Primal Scream on bass 100%.

If you could talk for 15 minutes in the world vision what would you say? To respect each other and be sustainable.

What do you think about influencers? I don’t really care about them.

Can you give us a definition of art? What makes you overcome your limits.

What is the night you spent the most money to have fun? Paris for sure, probably between PCC and Bus Palladium, or at Silencio. 

The best guitarist in history? Lou Reed.

And bassist? Don’t know many, Carol Kaye maybe.

What do you do for fun? I mainly read and watch movies and football games. 

Where have you been on vacation when you were young? My parents had (and still have) a caravan, so many places.

Where are you going on vacation now? Nowhere, I don’t really go on vacation.

What’s the topic you are most expert in? I’m a nerd, probably dates and names in music and football. 

What’s the most exciting part of your job? And the most boring one? Exciting: playing live for sure; boring: unloading and loading the van.

Have you ever been in love? Yeah.

What was your job before becoming a musician? Last two are office worker and waiter.

Where are you from? Let’s say Venice, Italy.

Favorite bands? The Velvet Underground and The Jesus and Mary Chain.

Favorite books? Loads but surely nothing from Bukowski. 

Favorite authors? Camus, Riilke and Mayakovsky.

Have you ever had a homosexual experience? Yes.

The craziest experience you’ve ever had? I fell into a swimming pool and almost drowned when I was 2 or 3, pretty crazy.

What is the most rock and roll anecdote you can tell us about New Candys? Getting thrown out of the BJM bus because Anton wanted to sleep, that’s ironic.

What’s the best band right now in your opinion? We are.

The most overrated? Squid and black midi, Coldplay in the mainstream scene.

The most underestimated? Swans.

One you don’t like? Too many to say but Coldplay and Mumford and Sons are the fucking worst.

How did you join New Candys? Same way as question n°3.

Who did you meet first? Fernando.

Can you tell us a strenght and a weakness of each of them, starting with Fernando? Relentless and a bit stubborn.

Andrea? Precise, sometimes he thinks too much.

Dario? Loyal, sometimes too diplomatic.

Who’s the clever one in your opinion? Dario.

And the most talented as musician? Andrea, light years ahead.

What is your top five of your songs? Twim Mime, Vivian Rising, Zyko, Factice and The Clockmaker.

What is your song that you are most attached to? Why? Twin Mime, dunno why, I just love it.

The best song you wrote? A song called C with my previous band.

The craziest thing you’ve seen at one of your concert? A guy in El Paso, Texas with a gun in his jeans.

The most rock and roll thing? Moshing is always nice.

Do you have some regrets about things you wanted to do but you didn’t do? If so which ones? I’ve always wanted to play football when I was a kid but my parents didn’t let me.

Do you have some remorses for something you did but you should have done differently? If so which ones? My studies, I’d definitely do something else…

Do you have some dreams that you are trying to realize? If so which ones? Music as a stable job, pretty hard dream.

What time do you usually go to sleep? Late.

What time do you usually wake up? Sooner or later.

What’s your favorite city in the world? New York.

Do you believe in some religions? Nope.

Your typical day? Wake up, music and football shit, eat lunch, overthink, do things, have a drink, go to sleep.

Favorite fashion brand? Saint Laurent because it’s one of the very few I know.

The most precious material thing you own? My instruments and some of my grandma’s glass vases.

Best party you’ve been to? Probably something around the Biennale or Mostra del Cinema.
